I am a 44 year-old female with signs of RA. I started this diet in an attempt to reduce any inflammation in my body that might aggravate my RA. I have to say, I haven't had much relief in that department, but this diet cut my carb cravings, boosted my energy, and made me feel like I am finally eating the way I was made to eat. This diet just feels right! It's a feeling that you just cannot get from a bag or a box. It took me about 2 months to see steady weight loss - I've lost a total of 17 pounds so far. And now what I now know about this eating plan is that I can go on vacation, eat out every meal for 4 days, or "cheat" on the weekends or when we have company and not gain a single ounce - I really do keep the weight off without trying and it keeps coming off. This diet has absolutely done what it was designed to do - put my body back in balance by eating healthy fats and phytonutrients. The recipes are delicious, creative, and balanced. It did seem like the portions were really meant for two, but I guess it's part of the "loading" stage to get the balance of healthy fats in so they can go to work. It happened for me and I am very, very grateful.

When I ordered this book, my hope was that "this time it will work !" As I read through the book, I decided that indeed, it "might work!" As I put the recommendations to work, I found out that it DID work! I have totally changed my eating habits, as recommended, and have found that weight loss started immediately, and has maintained at an even level for four months. The recipes are delicious, the snacks satisfying, the results awesome! I highly recommend this book to all who have been having trouble losing weight, and keeping it off. It IS easy, after all !

I haven't followed this plan yet but intend to try it, nothing but good eating in this book and if it helps lose weight and get healthy, I'm all for it!

This book was easy to read, yet gave the reader a grasp of the most recent research on obesity, with the issues of leptin resistance and inflammation. He has a unique twist on it with the use of herbs to fight inflammation. After reading this book, you will have a much better grasp of what you need to do and what you need to avoid to get off the dieting yo-yo. The only way his diet could be improved would be if it were vegetarian, as cooked meat is very toxic. Nonetheless, this book is worth reading just to understand the science in easy layman's terms.

This way of eating healthy makes a big difference in the way you feel. The diet has you eating plenty of fruits and vegetables about nine servings instead of five. The food requires shopping more often to maintain the freshness of the vegetables and fruit and is costlier than other diets I have tried but I feel it was well worth it. The recipes are easy to follow and grocery lists are provided for the first four weeks. Easy to read and follow.
