Product Description
For Jon and Erin Bennett, the world seems to be spinning dangerously out of control. A new dictator is rising in Iraq. China is making threatening new moves toward Taiwan. North Korean forces appear ready to strike south. Israel is feverishly trying to complete the Third Temple. Oil prices are surging. And in the wake of an horrific war in the Middle East, President James MacPherson-s second term is coming to an end. Now the battle to succeed him is heating up into one of the most fiercely contested presidential elections in American history, and the Bennetts realize the stakes could not be higher. Who will lead a bitterly divided country over the next four years? What can the U.S. do to shape the new world order? And just what role--if any--does the U.S. play in the last days? As the presidential campaign narrows into a dead heat, the Secret Service learns of a catastrophic plot to assassinate one of the candidates--but which one, and can the terrorists be stopped in time?

5 out of 5 stars Fantastic conclusion for a fantastic series   June 30, 2009
Happy Camper (Springfield, MO)
If this series doesn't make you stop and think, then you're not living in the same world as me! Often, as I was reading this book in particular, I was unsure what were the daily headlines and what had I just read the night before in the book! I had been borrowing this series, but wanted a set for myself so I could loan them out to family and friends.

1 out of 5 stars Would have given it NO STARS if option were available.   June 19, 2009

I bought this as an audio book and was completely misled as to the storyline.

After listening ENDLESSLY to Bible verse after Bible verse I have deleted the offending "novel" from my iPod and from my iTunes audiobook collection.

If there was a plot in there somewhere I must have missed it. Perhaps Mr. Rosenberg should become a minister and stop writing "fiction." He seems to be quite adept at sermonizing.

1 out of 5 stars Jews and Jesus   June 18, 2009

I haven't read Rosenberg's other books in this series, but this one is certainly enough to get his thrust. It is full of religious conversions to Jesus and has all the usual Israeli suspects - Iraq, Iran, and North Korea.

As far as prescience is concerned, he could pick up a lot of his ideas from old Tom Clancy novels.

The book would be a lot better without the "Come to Jesus" theme, but, then again, that theme and scaring his readers with what the Arabs plan for Israel is what this book is about.

5 out of 5 stars Good Fiction   June 9, 2009

This book was hard to put down and it kept me on the edge of my seat. As of today, (6/9/09), this is the latest in Joel Rosenberg's fiction series on the end times.

This story line takes place during a presidential election period in the United States and concerns an act of terrorism on the homeland. I hope this never comes true.

He has a new non-fiction book out called Revolution.

5 out of 5 stars Yet Another Awesome Book   June 1, 2009

A must-read for everyone! The contents of this book are jam-packed with excitement, Christianity, reality and heart-wrenching sorrow. Two days after I read this book, North Korea threatened to attack the U.S. with nuclear weapons, and activity began around long-range missile silos in N.K. It is almost scary how Rosenberg predicts the future. This is definitely another perfectly-written book. I could not put it down. Right when you think you've got the plot figured out, it twists and changes completely. I don't know how Rosenberg can think up plots as exciting and realistic as those in this series. I am sorry that I finished his books so soon. I wish there were more. If you have not read Dead Heat, you are missing out. A true must-read for everybody!
