Goodman and Gilman (Kindle Edition) April 15, 2009 jcfeld 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
The problem with the Kindle version of "Goodman And Gilman's The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics, 11th ed." is that you cannot navigate the table of contents. When you scroll down to go to a specific chapter or section, it puts a box around the entire page and does not let you select anything. Since this a large book, scrolling through it page by page is not an option. Customer service states, "I understand you are unable to navigate within your Kindle book's table of content by selecting certain sections. This option is not available for this title because this is an option made available by publishers who provide content to the Kindle store." I contacted them again and hope to get a better solution or someone else to contact concerning this issue. As for now, save your money!

An excellent compendium for physiology lectrues July 1, 2008 Carbone Emilio (Torino, Italy) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This new edition of the classical text book Goodman and Gilmans is further improved. Arguments are clearly exposed, with a preliminary background on the physiology of the organ and functional aspects of each class of drug and chemical compounds. It is an excellent reference book for my lectures on General Physiology to undergraduate students. I often use it also when preparing lectures to PhD students at the School of Neuroscience.
Didn't meet the expectation April 12, 2007 Helbert A. S. Campos (Governador Valadares; MG; Brazil) 4 out of 6 found this review helpful
I have bougth an earlier edition and had great expectation for an update. In my field of interest, psychiatry, it was a disappointment. Could be a good book for students.
